Recovery & reuse of salvaged or surplus building materials. Materials are sold at their thrift store at 40-90% below retail prices. Proceeds support their work to "lift up communities" by reducing waste; creating local green jobs; and making repairs affordable for low-income folks, homeowners, small businesses, houses of worship, and community groups. They also donate materials to arts & theatre groups, and nonprofits that repair substandard housing; and provide education and outreach about going green on a budget. Latex Paint Recycling Latex Paint The latex paint is recycled and resold to the community and businesses. Usable Latex Paint - $2 per gallon can charge - Minimum amount of 20 gallons accepted - no limit. Latex paint only accepted from businesses. Cans must not be leaking. Oil based paint and stain will not be accepted. Paint Recycler. They are a concierge-style, appointment based service. They go to you or your clients business to remove & eco-dispose of stockpiles of old cans of paint & other items. Paints (latex, oil, spray), primers, stains, varnishes, turpentine, acetone, muriatic acid, wallpaper paste, elevator hydraulic oil, floor epoxies, fire extinguishers, concrete masonry dyes, sealers, some cleaners & detergents. Materials accepted from commercial and residential. Items not accepted include: propane tanks, oxygen tanks, gasoline cans, aquatic chemicals (shock) & unlabled containers. They do not accept materials at their facility. They come to you. Minimum amounts $150 for commercial & $50 for residential. They can provide customers with a 1-page report of how materials were handled after being transferred to them, which can be used to apply for LEED points, to apply for 14000 ISO certification, submit to the Fire marshal, sent to property owners & portfolio investors.
